2011 shall be my year for music.

It started with my move to Munich for a new job. Financial freedom led me to actually seek out acts that I would never have checked out on my own had I not moved to a city where most bands choose to tour. 

Of course I still saw concerts with M but if he couldn't make it to watch a concert with me, alone was another option. 

I got to see Robyn live in Muffathalle.

I remember the first time I heard the song "Dancing on my Own", M and I were in Schocken, checking out this DJ set from Motor-FM. They played this song and I knew right away that I had to have this song and listen to it till my ears bled. It's that good. 

She sang it exactly this way, in small concert hall where everyone is just sweating and dancing. That part in the coda where your hear anticipates the fast drum beat and then she pounds her hands on the air and wails "I'm giving it my all" IS THE BEST CONCERT MOMENT EVER.

I danced on my own (pun intended), lost my voice, danced with sweaty, hairy bears and got neck strain from all the good looking gay men around me. It was a night that the gay person living inside of me could never forget. Robyn owned the stage, dancing, gyrating, and all the while singing without missing a beat. There was a tiny part of me regretting that my husband couldn't make it coz we could've danced together but I still left the concert with a huge smile on my face.

what do you do when there is a twiggy-type girl who wears a flimsy see through white blouse and nothing underneath in your driver's ed first aid class? look at the reactions of the  teenaged boys in the room.
